Player Code of Conduct

Please read with your child prior to the start of the season.

As a player for Belmont Minor Soccer, I will:

• Play by the rules.
  If I do not understand a rule, I will ask my coach to explain it.
  
  

• Be a team player.
  Remember that I am part of a team and that teamwork is important.
  
  

• Encourage everyone.
  Cheer for all good plays — and cheer even louder for my own team!
  
  

• Show respect.
  Respect my fellow players, coaches, referees, parents, and spectators at all times.
  
  

• Control my temper.
  Manage my emotions and demonstrate good sportsmanship on and off the field.
  
  

• Play for enjoyment.
  Play for my own enjoyment and development — not just to please coaches or parents.
  
  

• Speak up if I’m hurt.
  Tell my coach or the referee if I am injured while playing.
  
  

• Be responsible.
  Inform my coach in advance if I cannot attend a game or practice.
  
  

• Keep perspective.
  Remember that winning is only part of the game.
  
  

• Have fun and do my best.
  Make friends, improve my skills, and always give my best effort.
